Summer’s siren

I took a few days off from work to enjoy the time the girls are off from summer camp. School is still three weeks away, but closer than I like to think.

I can hear the ever buzzing clack of the Katydids high in the trees; a siren of summers end. Here in upstate NY the last few weeks of rain and cooler temperatures have signaled Mother Nature to change her hue. Lush green tree tops are giving way to bright yellows and early reds. Too early for autumn if you ask me.
